A Logo is a symbol made up of text and/or images that help us identify brands. If designed well, it also tells a company’s story, by conveying your brand message in a way that helps to establish an emotional connection with your target audience.

Logo design in today’s world is totally under rated. People do not understand how important a good logo is and how valuable it is to their business. Logo is  the foundation for your you brand’s visual brand identity.

I got a phone call not long ago from a prospective client enquiring about having a new logo designed for his company. Unfortunately they found out that I was way outside of their budget. Now, I get it…even the starting price of what I charge for logos isn’t exactly cheap, but you’d be hard-pressed to find a professionally designed logo for much less than that in Auckland.

There seems to be a disconnect between what designers know and what everyone else thinks they know when it comes to the reality of logo design. Professional designers understand what goes into creating a logo.

Here are some reasons why a logo design doesn’t cost $5 or even $200 to design.
